We believe that parents play a vital role in the life of our College, we value your insight and contribution at all times.

We encourage contact with parents at all times and in particular through meetings with your child’s Tutor and Pupil Progress Manager.

We always encourage families to attend our performances and events.

Parents are a part of the Governing body, helping make the key improvements to our College.

There are extended services for our parents including access to Adult Learning opportunities.
Parents

We have invested in an exciting IT learning platform for our learning community.

We have a ‘Learning Gateway’ which enables pupils to access homework and extension tasks at home and continue with coursework.  We encourage parents to support their children by checking tasks and helping with some projects.  After school sessions provide an opportunity for independent learning or assisted learning with trained supervisors where required.  Pupils can also benefit from extra exam and coursework classes.
We regard all parents as essential partners in our drive to develop the potential of every child.  We seek to always provide a clear view of progress throughout the year in the following ways:

Daily communication through student planners, telephone calls and school letters.

Parent and teacher consultation evenings and Progress Review Day, giving a detailed view of your child’s levels of effort and attainment.

You will receive detailed reports from your child’s teacher and Tutor at least once a year.

The education of your child is a shared responsibility and we look forward to working alongside you in building the highest expectations.

If you have any concerns, you will be able to meet with your child’s Tutor and Pupil Progress Manager* to discuss and help solve any issues. *Pupil Progress Managers are also known as ‘Head’s of House’.
